Ronnie O'Sullivan, a seven-time world champion, had
previously been ousted by Brecel in the quarterfinals after coming from behind
to win seven straight frames. Si, who is seeking to become the first world

of 91. Brecel, on the other hand, maintained his composure to win the match in
dramatic fashion.
Selby defeated Northern Ireland's Mark Allen 17–15 to
advance to his sixth global final since his last victory in 2021. Before
winning five straight frames, including one with a break of 103, Selby had a
slim 11-10 lead going into the final session. Selby then took control of the
match. Before Selby ended the match in the 32nd frame, though, Allen took the
next five frames.
Meanwhile, Brecel was jubilant over his victory.
"Winning is just unbelievable. It's the biggest game I've ever played.
