 PCB honours Aleem Dar by sharing humorous   moments:

Aleem Dar's long and successful career as a member of the International Cricket Council (ICC) Elite Panel of Umpires has been honoured by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) with fond memories of him from the past.

 

Before retiring in March 2023, the former cricketer worked for 19 years as a top-tier match official in the ICC's elite umpires body.

One of the video snippets was taken from an ODI played on home soil against New Zealand.

 

When trying to run out the batter, Pakistani pacer Naseem Shah, who was standing close to the boundary, threw the ball to the players close to the wicket, but it struck Dar's leg instead.

 

Aleem Dar's wise choices brought him praise and admiration from all around the world. The umpire was also honoured by the national team for his outstanding career as a member of the ICC's Elite Panel of Umpires.

 

A video posted by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) shows that Babar Azam, the captain of Pakistan, presented his jersey, which had been autographed by every member of the team, as "a gesture of respect and admiration."
