Five fresh recruits are included in Manchester United's potential 25-man roster for the upcoming campaign.
Man Utd will have a busy summer as they attempt to continue
their rebuilding process under Erik ten Hag.
As Manchester United is preparing for another significant
summer transfer season, the hard work has already begun.
During his first season with the team, Erik ten Hag laid
some strong foundations, and now the emphasis is on advancing his rebuild with
a few wise additions.
This summer, United will attempt to improve a few starting
positions as well as the depth of their entire squad by displacing marginal
players with alternatives better suited to their brand of play.
The biggest problem for United is that, even though they
should be able to purchase a top striker this summer, they will have to use
player sales to pay for any other arrivals.
This indicates that players with low release clauses, free
agents, or players who are not among the best in their respective roles are
filling the remaining roster spots.
Ten Hag's top attacking addition is Harry Kane, and Victor
Osimhen is also intriguing. In case they are unable to sign one of their top
two choices, United is also keeping an eye on Rasmus Hjlund and Randal Kolo
Muani as less expensive options.
At the end of the season, United would also like to add
another creative midfielder to their lineup, but this is one position where
they most likely won't be able to finance a top target. Although the club is
interested in both Jude Bellingham and Frenkie de Jong, it is unlikely that
United would be able to sign both of them in addition to a top-tier striker.
In light of the fact that Youri Tielemans' contract with
Leicester is about to expire, he might consequently be the perfect acquisition.
The 25-year-old has experience in the Premier League and would be the ideal
candidate for a team spot as Christian Eriksen's backup next season.
