Nishan Madushka and Kusal Mendis each scored double hundreds against Ireland on Thursday, making it just the third occasion in Test history that Sri Lanka's top four batters have all reached the century mark.

 

Ramesh Mendis recorded his fourth five-wicket haul and Prabath Jayasuriya became the fastest spinner to 50 Test wickets as Sri Lanka defeated Ireland by an innings and 10 runs on Friday (April 28), clinching a 2-0 series victory.

 

The Irish hitters collapsed to 202 all out when play resumed on 2/54 in the sweltering, humid circumstances.
